Sime Tyres 4x4 tyres for exceptional performance on asphalt and in off-road terrain
Petaling Jaya, March 2010. Continental Sime Tyre rolled out two tyre models of its Sime Tyres 4x4 range for 4WD vehicles in its product range for SUVs, pick-ups and crossover SUVs for Malaysia.
Centipede AT
The Centipede AT is developed for all drivers who intend to use their 4WD vehicles off-road but still want a comfortable margin of safety in road traffic.
Regardless of the road condition, be it tarmac, mud, sand or stone, nothing stops the Centipede AT. Its twin-stage groove design increases traction on edges and prevents stones from being wedged in its tread, allowing it to disperse gravel with ease.
The saw tooth shaped pattern design improves traction with the ground and increases steering response, making it easier to traverse mud and sand.
With technology advancement, the computer-optimised-pattern dramatically reduces noise peaks while the low stiffness and density compound provide all-round driving comfort.
The optimised block stiffness with cut and chip resistant compound ensures an all-round even tread wear that is made suitable for all kinds of road surfaces, giving drivers higher mileage performance as well as longer tyre lifespan.
Centipede HT
The Centipede HT is an exceptional performer, either on wet or dry road conditions. Its grip on every corner with all four tyres biting into the tarmac while advanced technology goes to work in minimizing the tyre noise, will surely be the tyre for the driver who wants safety and comfort.
The triple centre rib design with multiple longitudinal and lateral grooves optimizes tread block stability under braking conditions allow for shorter braking distances on wet or dry for higher safety.
The optimized pattern design with noise reduction technology cancels out noise frequencies while the closed shoulder rib-block shoulder design insulates noise in the lateral direction for a more comfortable drive.
The optimized flat tyre contour and wear resistant tread compound evens the ground pressure distribution and the low tread wear allows for higher mileage performance and longer service life.
